The steaming hot weather of Dubai and the crystal clear water of the Arabian Gulf make an amazing combination of beach fun in Dubai beaches. Though there are many beaches which belong to the most luxurious hotels in Dubai. But still, Dubai is the home of UAE best public beaches.
Please note that follow certain rules in Dubai beaches like swimming in underwear is not allowed only shorts are recommended while for women they must wear a full bikini or swimsuit on public beaches in Dubai. Kindly read the instruction as per Dubai Municipality. There are many public beaches in Dubai. But we filter some of the best beaches in term of environment, activities, location, and accessibility. Jumeirah Open Beach (formerly Russian Beach)
Russian beach is one of the most famous beaches in Dubai Beaches. This beach got this name for a long time. Because most of the time Russian and Eastern Europeans always used to hang out on Jumeirah Beach. This is a free beach with a facility like a toilet and a shower etc. The beach is very near to all nearby small malls on the beach road and there are many cafés for refreshment as well. But these café prices are a bit higher, so if you are planning to stay for a long time on each side you can bring your own food.
Apart from sunbathers and swimmers, you’ll also see a lot of roller-skaters, cyclists and pedestrians. There is a long track for jogging as well for those who love jogging on a long track.
Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR)
Jumeirah Beach residence beach is a very popular beach which is located next to the Jumeirah Beach resort. It is also a free beach for both residents and tourist. You can swim in the fairly calm water of this beach and the hotels also offer many water sports activities such as parasailing, wakeboarding and banana boating.
The beach has many restaurants in the surrounding with an amazing view from which you can take a bite or indulge yourself in lunch as well. Many events also take place on the JBR Beach like motoring and sporting events.
Kite Beach
A place for kite surfer and even the name suggest and give an indication that why it is known as kite beach. The beach is popular for kite surfers, soccer, beach volleyball and some other sports area along the jogging area.
This is a perfect place for sunbathing and playing many sports. You can challenge your strength by standing up on a paddle, kayaking or other games in the surrounding. There is a long track for jogging on which you can burn some of your fat with daily running. Kite beach also have wifi facility but for some distance, it will not work everywhere on the beach. It’s a place with both Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab.
Sunset Beach or Umm Suqeim Beach:
This is one of the most beautiful stretches sandy beach in Dubai with the stunning view of the world most iconic hotel Burj Al Arab. It a free public beach with shower facility and shelter for changing. The beach gets crowded in the afternoon.
You will find people from different background enjoy the sunny days in Dubai. The area is accessible from all part of Dubai with both Taxi and RTA buses.
Al Mamzar Beach Park:
It’s a perfect beach and park especially for those who are staying in old Dubai (Deira) because it might be difficult for you to travel to beaches located on Jumeirah road. It is one of the long stretch sandy beaches with a lot of places for playing, setting, barbecue and swimming.
Recently this beach is also awarded the blue flag beach status. If you don’t like swimming in the beach area you can rent an umbrella and sun loungers. There are small café in the surrounding where you can sip a cup of drink or buy some refreshment for yourself. Dubai Municipality announces Mondays and Wednesdays exclusively for women and children. The beach also has a number of facilities like showers and changing rooms.
